Socialite Starlet Wahu was quickly buried almost 72 hours after she was found dead in a rented apartment in South B, Nairobi.
According to his brother Pastor Victor Kanyari, the family decided to bury her swiftly because she was already gone forever. Kanyari said they didn’t want outsiders during the private ceremony that had almost 20 family members in attendance.
Coming from a well-known family, many expected that Wahu would be given a decent burial. Unlike with Muslims, her burial could wait a little longer according to the Kikuyu culture.
Wahu hails from a religious background, her mother being prophetess Lucy Nduta and her brother is the controversial preacher Victor Kanyari.
The main suspect of the murder John Matara is still behind bars as police continue with investigations.
