Liverpool star Phillipe Coutinho, has officialy handed transfer request to leave the club.
Coutinho was one of the best players in the premier league last season and has been on transfer radar of the two big clubs in Spain, Real Madrid and Barcelona, but Liverpool have been reluctant as the club not willing to allow the player out of team.
Days back, Anfield outfits rejected bid from Barcelona for the Brazilian, the last being a 100 million euros, stating that he will not be leaving the club;
He signed a new five-year deal without a release clause in January, which has strengthen Liverpool’s attitude towards the situation.
Phillipe Coutinho communicated this desire to the Merseysiders directly via email on Friday following a strong statement from Fenway Sports Group (FSG) that his exit would not be sanctioned this summer.
It was said that, “no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool football club when the summer window closes”.
Liverpool are not going back on their words and insist they will turn down further approaches from Barcelona.
