Faith Kipyegon has been named the track female world athlete of the year.
She becomes the first Kenyan female athlete to win the award .
Kipyegon had an amazing year by breaking records and winning several world championships.
With an outstanding performance this year, Kipyegon has been conferred with the Elder of the order of the Golden Heart of Kenya by President William Ruto. She becomes the only athlete to be given this award.
This is the highest medal a civil individual can have in Kenya
