A Kenyan mountain climber had a quest of conquering mount everest in a special way. He knew what it will take to set a new record for his challenge; becoming the first African to accomplish it.
Joshua Cheruiyot Kirui was on a mission to reach the highest point on earth without supplementary oxygen. However, he wasn’t sure of his survival chances.
Before climbing the mountain,the banker said he had prepared enough both mentally and physically having invested much time and financial resources to actualize his dream.
After going missing on Wednesday,his body was found a few metres below the summit point of mount everest on Thursday .

Cheruiyot becomes the second Kenyan to summit Mt everest. His hiking friends will be remembering him this Saturday with hiking activities at Ngong hills.
