Why is Diamond Platnumz snubbing Kenyan Artists? – Director Trevor

‎What will it ever take for Diamond Platnumz to give another Kenyan artist a chance to work on a song project with him? This is what has really disturbed Director Trevor. Via his 911 Podcast, Trevor said it is high time Diamond Platnumz gives one Kenya a chance to collaborate with him in a song.

‎Trevor is convinced that since Kenya fans have offered Diamond Platnumz support for years, it’s paramount that he returns the favor.

‎“Kenya contributes to the biggest revenue that Diamond Platnumz makes from music. Why has he not offered another chance to sing with a Kenyan?” he questions.

‎His co-host Ken Rel Biss defended Diamond Platnumz saying he has put in extra work that no Kenyan has done. This work ethic has propelled the WCB Wasafi CEO brand to greater heights. In that way,he can charge a premium amount to work with a Kenyan artist. This won’t favour most of them pocket wise.

‎Ken adds that artists do collabos with an aim in mind, with penetrating to a new audience being one of them. Now that he (Diamond Platnumz) has an established fan base in Kenya,he believes Diamond Platnumz has no reason to do a collabo with a Kenyan artist.

‎Singer Akothee is the only Kenyan artist to do a collabo with Diamond Platnumz so far. She featured the bongo singer on Sweet Love. Though Director Trevor insinuates that Akothee paid KSH 5 Million for the collabo, Akothee clarified how much he paid for the song and how they met with Diamond.

‎In the recent past Kenyan singer Bien was seen in a studio with Diamond Platnumz. However, there has been no more buzz or relevant information about the possibility of the two working on a song.
