2020 has been a year to forget especially for artists in the Kenyan music industry. A lot has been hindered by the COVID but that hasn’t been a total disaster to some artists especially Mejja and Otile Brown.
Mejja and Otile Brown have been awesome to say the least. They have had massive success even with no shows with the curfew and closure of bars.
Since the two collaborated on Watoto na Pombe, it’s been up hill ever since. Their songs have received just enough airplay to make them standout artists of 2020.
Khaligraph and Octopizzo have tried to keep up but the two are the hottest entities in the industry right now and when the country fully opens up they will be the first names on every show in the 254.
Their work ethic has helped a lot because in Mejja’s case he’s been nothing but at his best. He has brought back the Mejja of Landlord. He was awesome on Watoto na Pombe, he then dropped a major verse on Pakua with Jovial and also brought his A game on Hainishtui with Boondocks Gang.
Otile on the other hand has had Khaligraph on Hit and Run and although it sounded a little off especially with his voice he delivered on Watoto na Pombe and also basically revived Prezzo on Nagukunda.
