Uganda legendary singer Jose Chameleon has advised celebrities especially musicians to slow down at times during their career and have a chance to recharge.
Chameleon who is in Kenya country for his medical checkups among other music shows says not having a rest during his over two decades in the music industry had affected him physically.
Chameleon while speaking with media personalities present during his arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta Internation Airport (JKIA) admitted living the fast lane lifestyle which generally affected him badly. He used him as an example warning artists to take responsibility over their life choices.
“Personally I have not had a holiday for the last 25 years. I have never had a free Christmas , I have never had a free Easter. I have never had a free public holiday cause I am always in high demand chasing the bill,” regretted Chameleon.
The Value Valu singer disclosed that he wasn’t told to stop doing anything but for the sake of his health, Chameleon has quit alcohol and smoking.
“I have been flipping bottles and enjoying myself and I have been a smoker all my life.”
