Senate has received impeachment verdict on Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza.
The Governor’s fate will be determined by the 11-member committee or the Senate in plenary, where they will either substantiate or dismiss the allegations within 10 days. A special sitting schedule for next week.

The Governor declined to appear in County Assembly to defend herself; terming reintroduction of impeachment motion is in contempt of court.
