Kenyan rapper Octopizzo the demise of his longtime manager Vick Ongaya. The rapper eulogized Ongaya as a person who saw his music potential before anyone else.
Octopizzo termed his late manager was close to him and was the brains behind his flourishing rap career.
“He was the only person who saw potential in me when many not even myself thought this rap thing would work for us. Since 2009, he has been the creative force behind the Octopizzo brand,a visionary, mentor, and the backbone of my artistic journey.”
Via his social media handles ,the rapper said the loss is a major blow to his life and the funeral preparations are underway at his Woodley residence.
“His faith in me shaped not only my career but also the person I’ve become. Losing him feels like losing a part of myself. His loss leaves me deeply heartbroken, as I mourn not just a manager but a true confidant and big brother.”
Octopizzo manager’s death comes days after the rapper mourned the death of the late Kenya Prime Minister Raila Odinga. He said Odinga was a symbol of courage, resilience, and unwavering belief in democracy who redefined the landscape of Kenya politics.
”Raila taught us that true leadership is not about titles, but about sacrifice, vision, and the relentless pursuit of justice for all,” read part of the Octopizzo post.
