A local Kenyan artist has been reported to have refused to cater for a bill at a club this past weekend. Reports coming off Twitter suggest that the artist visited the club for a normal night out but then did not pay up when it came to settling his bill.
Kenyans on Twitter have not let the matter settle without rebuking the act saying it is not right to do what this artist did. The bill was for some drinks he had apparently ordered and had drunk. The artist then left the club even while the waiter tried to run after him. He even almost ran over some club attendants who tried to stop him.
According to one twitter user, the artist now identified as Gabu of the famous P-Unit did not pay up the bill that was presented to him at the club. The club was identified as Oynx and he was being requested to pay up a bill of 6000 Ksh that he had apparently spent that night. Reports suggest that he had even bargained earlier because he was a ‘celebrity’.
Kenyan artists have always come under fire especially when they attend certain shows or even interviews. Their little status in the society seems to get into their heads every time. This is not the first incident as it has happened before. There were reports of Nyashinski saying he was supposed to be paid 1 million Ksh for an interview. It seems their standards are getting out of hand.
