Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has endorsed his father to seek another term in office during the next general election in 2026.
Muhoozi claims he will not be on ballot paper. He has opted to throw his support behind Museveni who is seeking a 7th term in office during the next election slated for 2026.
The Chief of Defense Forces in Uganda has further warned that after his father’s presidency,no civilian will lead Uganda. Stating that the next leader should come from the Uganda security agencies.
“No civilian will lead Uganda after President Museveni. The security forces will not allow it. The next leader will be a soldier or policeman.”
