Diana Marua has finally addressed claims that she is a materialistic woman who only chose to be with Bahati because of his money.
The mother of one has been trolled multiple times ever since she started dating the gospel singer. The two lovebirds met in 2016 during the shooting of Bahati’s music video ‘Mapenzi’ and fell heads
over heels in love.
Critics regularly make deliberately offensive remarks about Diana, some troll her for being older than Bahati while others even claim she is a gold digger.
Diana addressed her critics during a recent interview with True Love magazine. She revealed that she was never interested in Bahati because of his money since she dated richer men who offered her much more.
“Others say I want him [Bahati] for the money. Even he laughs about that. If it was about money I would be with well-off people I have dated who would have offered me a lot, including cars. With Bahati,
I asked God for someone who would love me genuinely and Bahati was the man I knew I wanted to grow and build a legacy with,” said Diana.
The mother of one also talked about the huge age difference between Bahati and her. She stated that her husband was more mature than most older men she dated.
“People have pointed out that he is younger than me. When we started out, it did not bother me because Bahati is more mature than most men older than me in his thinking.”
