As things are unfolding daily,Embakasi East Member Of Parliament,Babu Owino will escape being the shortest serving MP. This is after his so called unworthy competitor conceded defeat after recount of votes. One Francis Mureithi had gone to court to seek nullification of Babu Owino win. After a series of thumb chesting from both parties,the truth is set to be revealed this friday.
The vocal legislature took to his facebook page to let his fan and constituents that his rival had called to concede. If this is the case,then Francis Mureithi will be anticipating a slap from court whereby he will pay Babu Owino and also foot the case expenses. After August poll Babu Owino won with against Mureithi with a margin of 2000 votes. The recount results saw Babu garner 46,813 votes against Mureithi’s 42,475
votes.
Mr Francis Mureithi who petitioned my victory as the current Embakasi East MP at the high court has just called to concede defeat ahead of the court ruling scheduled for Friday this week. It’s time to serve my people.
